Earliest bag drop time at LHR T3

Hi everyone – can anyone tell me how far in advance you can drop bags for the LHR-DEL 19:50 flight? My partner is arriving on an early BA flight and flying out to delhi that evening with VS. Can he drop his bags early in the morning (allowing him to head into London for the day with hand baggage only?). Thanks all!

Pretty sure it’s 3 hours before, maybe 4, but have you looked on the website?

There is a commercial left luggage place in the arrivals area of T3 ahould it be required.

I have checked the website – it’s very good at telling you the minimum time for bag drop but not the max.
