Early Check-in at KUL flying BA

Due to ASEAN 2025 starting tomorrow in KL, and road closures due in KL this afternoon, we’ve arrived at KUL at 17.00 for the BA34 @ 22.50. We’re flying business through to Edinburgh (KULLHREDI).

BA check-in isn’t due to start until 19.50.

Is it possible for us to check-in for the BA34 at another OneWorld check-in desk (i.e. Malaysia or Qatar)? and check our bags through to EDI?

I’m one OneWorld Sapphire, if that matters.

I genuinely think the answer will be no, but on the basis you’re already at the airport I suspect the wiser thing to do would be to ask at a check in desk. In my experience, customer service in the transport sector in MY is pretty lacking so I wouldn’t hold out any hope. There is a hotel connected to the terminal that might be a nicer place to wait.

No. You check in with the airline you fly with.

I don’t know who handles BA at KUL but if you speak to someone who does (at another open desk etc) then they may be able to check you in. But +1 @The real Swiss Tony – as lovely as Malaysians are there isn’t much scope for above and beyond service at the airport!!
