Following up on the HFP article: https://www.headforpoints.com/2024/07/12/you-can-no-longer-earn-avios-and-british-airways-tier-points-on-emirates/. which said you can no longer earn TPs on Qantas codeshare flights operated by Emirates.
There is an interesting post on Flyertalk on July 18th whereby someone from BA has posted stating that you DO still earn TPs and Avios from flights sold as Qantas and operated by Emirates. Rob/Rhys are you able to confirm with your contacts at BA (Rob I tried to tag you in the flyertalk thread)? I’ve got some upcoming trips to book to Sydney and Hong Kong and prefer to fly via DXB and would be good to get this pretty basic BA Exec Club rule clarified.
thanks in advance!
It was clarified in the original article by Nick in the comments, who is senior at BA.
People are still getting them by putting in a retroclaim because the back office seems not to have got the memo, but its not meant to be happening AFAIK.
Not a single person has had a flight post automatically since ba.com wording was changed. This is not a coincidence I suspect.
If you believe what someone in the BA call centre tells you then I’ve got a bridge to sell you 🙂
