As I’m banned from booking proper holidays until after the A levels next year, I’m scouting around for nice weekend breaks to fill the travel gap. If anyone else is booking this far ahead, there is some very interesting points pricing around Easter weekend (March 28th to April 1st). There are some absolutely crazy prices, as well, like HIEX’s asking for 70k points pn (and more!), but also some real bargains, like Indigo Bath from 27k pn and Voco Oxford Thames at 30k pn. This means cash prices are also quite reasonable as most properties now give 0.5p – 0.6p per point these days.
It’s worth having a look on the IHG booking site and seeing if you can snag a bargain if you’re not heading off to SYD, SIN or DXB next Easter after the 1 am phone dash!
Not Easter but next weekend. Just checking booking I have for next weekend in Manchester and price has dropped by 1/3rd compared to last week, so much so it’s now even cheaper than the rate I locked in in June last year!
So cancelled 3 separate nights and booked as one complete stay for ease.
Moving on to my regular check of my other bookings now.
