Someone has posted a listing selling 60,000 avios points for £436 – presume this is not allowed under the T&Cs
There’s another one offering 50K Avios for £300, amusingly plus £7.95 postage!
?I presume these are stolen/hacked points and will get reversed and receving account blocked! why else would anyone sell for less that 1p/1c valuation
@Wiseoldman – Not necessarily. Some people genuinely don’t know about the 1p valuation thing. People who don’t really follow blogs/points websites sometimes redeem for very low value redemption options.
@DR – It’s not allowed, but ebay won’t remove the listings if it’s reported (far worse surfaces on ebay without them batting a virtual eyelid), and BA is not aggressively policing the sale of the Avios on ebay either (or BAEC status, for that matter…)
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Regardless of how strictly any rules are being enforced, how would the purchased points get to your BAEC account? You’d have to give the seller/total stranger some of your account information which might not be a great idea.
Also isn’t there a charge to transfer avios?

You don’t know what BA are doing behind the scenes or how aggressive they are doing it.
@Northernlass you don’t need much info not enough to login anyway and they charge £50 for 60k or free for Golds
The person thinks they’re getting more than using for Nectar?

Are they sent air-mail?? 😂
Bad idea – they could get reversed anywhere down the line, or you could just get scammed and have your points stolen. Or BA could delete your whole account. If you want to play outside the rules, expected to get played outside the rules.
These scammers know what they’re doing, hence why they price them attractively but not stupidly.
