    Is this still a thing?

Have an early flight next week and am staying in one of the airport hotels with colleagues the night before.

I’m most likely getting the tram to the airport so if its still available it would be good to get the bag out the way when I get off the tram.

I can’t answer the twilight check in question, and I’m guessing you’re travelling on business so cost won’t be an issue, (unless of course you’re the bean counter at your employer).

However, a quick tip for if you’re ever not on business, the tram is extortionate to the airport! We always get off at Ingliston Park & Ride and walk to the airport hotels – they’re half way between the terminal and Ingliston, and the fare difference is £4.20! (£6.00 vs £1.80).

Yeah the difference in price is ridiculous. I live in Edinburgh and have a Ridacard which also covers the airport zone so that isn’t a big issue for me.

I think they are trying to pass it off as a team building event which is why I’ve had an invite to stay over which is risible considering we are all going down to find out if we are being punted out to a third party or being offered another role within the company.

On the subject of twilight check-in someone posted a few weeks ago that they managed to do it so I’ll give it a shot when I get to the terminal. It’s no big deal but if I can get the bag out the way at night I will.

Yep, I 2nd and 3rd the comments on the bus V tram. For costs, bus wins hands-down.
