I looked at a booking for October last night. Today I received an e-mail saying the hotel was close to selling out on one night of my stay (3rd night of a 4 night query).
Is that for real, or are they just trying to nudge me into committing? Seems a bit implausible to me that the hotel is close to sold out and there’s no sign of rates spiking on that night, either.
Reason I don’t want to book now is if I go ahead, I’ll buy AMB status but don’t want to do that too early either.
Why not book a fully refundable rate now, so you’re covered if it really is filling up, then amend later if required? Or did you mean you’ll want to use the AMB weekend night certificate? I have a vague recollection you can still book those without actually having the certificate, so long as it’s in your account by the time you check in (not 100% sure on that though).
Yes I would intend to use the free night voucher on that stay, but can’t see me staying in another IC before the summer so ideally don’t want to take it up just yet. Any clarification on booking before membership starts would be appreciated!
Yes you can book the Ambassador rate at any time, just need the certificate in your account when you check in.

Thank you!
