I’ve have platinum status with Bonvoy but no status with Emirates.
I’ve registered with the your world rewards program which I understand gets me priority check-in and boarding (and some Bonvoy points on Emirates flights)
Couple of questions on this
1. Despite the fact I’ve registered on both sides I can’t seem to see any recognition of this on any app etc. Suggestions on google seem to suggest my skywards app should show this? (I use a different email address for bonvoy to skywards if this could be an issue)
2. Would the Priority check-in and/or boarding benefits be available to my immediate family when travelling with myself?
As Bonvoy Platinum myself, I signed up for Emirates “Your World” a number of years ago, and have flown with them quite a few times since.
Firstly No, I can find no recognition in the Marriott App/Account, and in the Emirates app my status shows as “Blue” – so it’s not your email address.
Secondly, I have NEVER EVER heard a call at priority boarding for Bonvoy Your World members (London/Dublin/Dubai), only for Emirates status members and First/Biz. However what I have done is taken a screenshot of my Bonvoy Platinum status, together with the page on the Emirates website showing the linked status and benefits, then I simply board with the rest of the priority queue and have these at the ready should anyone check me whilst boarding.
It’s not ideal, as you are always waiting for an embarrassing confrontation at the ticket scanner, but this has never happened. Have never tried the Priority check in as the self check in desks are always available.
I agree there should be somewhere in the Bonvoy app showing this.
I can confirm though that the Bonvoy points do post immediately after an Emirates flight.
Thanks, useful info, will go armed with screenshots just in case.
I guess if points are posting there is some digital record somewhere
* Oh, and as to immediate family, my wife travels with me, she is only Bonvoy Gold and not a “Your World” member, but we just board the plane together. Never been a problem.
My accounts show as linked (and have been for at least 3 years) but one week after taking an Emirates flight I still do not see any Marriott Bonvoy points earned in my account.
I’m Titanium so should be eligible to get the Bonvoy points for the flight.
For the other way round I’m only Emirates Blue so not expecting to see any EK miles for hotel stays.

I think it can take many many weeks from after you’ve taken the flight to receiving the Bonvoy points. I think for me it was 14 weeks.

OK thanks for the info. I think @bungalow said the points posted immediately after so that’s why I was wondering
