Hi
Just a question for anyone who knows the emirates skywards scheme. Is is cheaper (in terms of miles) to book an econ ticket and upgrade to business or just book business outright.
I think I read somewhere that the surcharges/taxes emirates charge for upgrading is cheaper than booking business direct but hoping some one here has done this and can advise.
PS flying from MAN to DXB.
Thanks
You should be able to price up once logged into a Skywards account. And there’ll be plenty of availability into the future for you to check. My last 2 booking MAN-DXB were 90,000 miles and £352 TFCs return.

I can price up a classic rewards flight. But can’t price up the cost of an upgrade from econ because it doesn’t show taxes ?

Aha I misunderstood your query. I can’t help; I only ever do J to F points upgrade and there’s no additional taxes
