My husband and I are currently sitting on 75k Etihad points. Before I convert them to cash, is there any particularly good value redemptions I should be looking into? I can’t find much online.
We also have a decent amount of Avios (200k)and virgin flying points (230k) and Hilton honours (1million)
We’re based in scotland but happy to travel to London etc for better flight options. We usually like to use our points for business class as we otherwise can’t afford it, but realise 75k isn’t nearly enough for that.
Rome to Abu Dhabi one-way in business is about 60k, I think it’s 80k from London. If you have 50% of miles in your account, you can purchase the rest at a very favourable rate during the booking process.
I would recommend extending the validity of the miles by topping up with Amex MR points if you do not have any travel plans. Cashing out isn’t the best use of any mileage points/currencies.
