So last week I posted about missing my LHR to cape town flight due to the late arrival of my Belfast flight. We were put on the same flight the following day, so arrived 24 hours last to our destination. I have submitted the compensation form on BA on line. I am just ordering how long it usually takes for a response and what the process is from here?
    Thanks

Give it a couple of weeks at least.

If they accept it they will ask for your bank details and pay you.

If they don’t then revert back here at that time for advice then.

Hi @tazzy, hope you’re having a great time. Did BA give you a leaflet or anything detailing your rights? If not mention this in any subsequent proceedings as they are required to advise you of this.
I haven’t used MCOl but IIRC CEDR likes you to wait 8 weeks OR until you receive a “final position” from BA, so if they initially deny liability it may take a few months to resolve. It’s nice when it arrives though!

As @ChrisC says, if you have to take it further, come back to HFP for your full range of options!

No we were given no leaflets or any information. That is very helpful. I wasn’t sure if I needed to do anything else now! South Africa is lovely- a little quieter and definitely more expensive than previous trips. It’s good to be back!
