Does anybody have any recommendations for a family friendly IHG hotel in Europe? Ideally a “resort” style with an outdoor pool that’ll be warm enough in October? (Or potentially next Easter/May)
Looking to book a single room with points, one adult plus two children (10 & 7).
Preferably as cheap as possible… but could probably stretch to approx 50k/night
Thanks in advance!
Have you had a look at the Iberostar properties? I think there are a few in the Canaries as well, where the weather would be more guaranteed in October/May.

Thanks, I did think this would be the way to go but when I had a look most appeared to be closer to 70k/night (and that was just searching for 1 occupant)… I’m aware I’m looking for something that probably doesn’t exist!
Iberostar’s can be a bit weird with points (as Rob has referred to previously). You can get the Founty Beach in Agadir (with pretty cheap BA flights from Gatwick) for 45K / night next March, 55K in the week before Easter.
March is £133 / night for two adults or 1 + 2 kids, with a rather bizarre Points + Cash option of 20K plus £142. So why would you pay an extra £9 and 20K points on top???
For 50K / night you can stay at the Montego Bay Holiday Inn Resort – flat rate all year. Somewhat more difficult and expensive to get to of course.
Aren’t Iberostars AI though? Or is that just in the Caribbean? Makes them a much better deal, obviously, than non-AI.
The HI Resort Montego Bay is all inclusive, which is why I mentioned it (but failed to make clear!).
I’ve no idea on the points cost but the Iberostar Herceg Novi (where we are going this summer) in Montenegro was substantially cheaper in cash terms than the other Iberostar resorts. That should be warm enough in October but probably not in April (albeit Easter is late next year).
That’s really helpful, thank you everyone… have had a better look at the Iberostar properties and have found some 30-60k options, some are B&B others are All Inclusive… will explore the website/app more. The hotel in Agadir looks like a good shout, there’s also one in Portugal that was looking reasonably priced – although I then checked Avios ability and I can get us out there in the summer or in October, but no options for coming back!
