Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Exploring Virgin Credit Cards for first time – how far does 15K points go?

  • 3 posts

I am exploring virgin flying club/reward points/credit cards. I am fairly familiar with BA and Avios via my partner but I have no idea how virgin points work. Other than reading the helpful information on the two credit cards available. I imagine their rewards are pretty similar.
What does 15K virgin points give you? For example, how many points would one need for two return flights to the U.S. in standard/premium or upper class? Aprrox. I mean. If this info. is already on here somewhere, please direct me.

    Hi

I suggest you work through the articles in our Virgin Redemption University series – https://www.headforpoints.com/category/virgin-redemption-university/

I’d also be tempted to wait for a promo which would see the bonus jump to 25k or 30k, not that I know of one in the pipeline.

There are tables on the points needed for redemptions by both cabin and destination on the VS website.

SeatSpy also shows points prices. I think 10k plus fees gets one person to JFK and similar length destinations off-peak in economy and it goes up from there!

Wait for the 30k offer. Im sure the offer appeared at least 3 time last year. Or just buy the airmiles when VA have the usual offer on.

Enough for Delhi one way and if booking Delhi to lhr the tax is only £120 or so which I think is very reasonable for a direct flight.
