Family beach holiday in Qatar

Any thoughts from the experts on beach hotels in Doha? Sheraton Grand Doha and WA Lusail mentioned previously in these pages but wondering what’s the latest view on these as well as Grand Hyatt Doha. Travelling with 4- and 7- year old and hoping for a nice, natural beach as well as enough to keep kids occupied at the resort for a week. Thanks

Not an expert by any means but I looked at the Sheraton Grand as an option and the rooms seemed a bit dated. Going to the Four Seasons which is next door in November which could be another option for you.

Went to the WA Lusail about 9 months ago and really enjoyed it. Would be perfect for those with children. Private beach, with many activities and safe area for swimming, and many children’s and kiddies pools. The breakfast buffet was probably one of the best I have ever had, for a “chain hotel”.

7 days might be overkill for Doha, unless youre planning on spending some days just chilling at the hotel making use of the facilities.
