Hi, just a quick one, can’t find the answer anywhere else.
Flying pmi-lgw this afternoon in economy, wife gold me silver.
Hand baggage only so no need to go to desk. There’s fast track security at pmi but our boarding passes don’t show it, just ‘silver’ and ‘gold’.
Can we use it, and is there a problem with it not showing on boarding passes?
Thanks
I thought it was tight for an answer in time.
Anyway, here now and although the agent at the check-in desk looked at our mobile boarding passes and said that we would, when we got to security we didn’t. Lady showed us the list and it clearly said ‘J’ class only for BA.
As an aside, I read elsewhere that the A gates (BA’s normal) lounge was between security and immigration (like Malaga), however this is also wrong as we’re sitting in it now after immigration and it’s right next to the gates.
No hot food but otherwise very pleasant.
I noticed that on our trip to VIE last week we had FT on the BP’s outbound but not VIE-LHR. However, VIE was so efficient compared to MAN and LHR we didn’t need it (and I’m not sure it was even offered).
I’ve only ever had fast track at PMI on Swiss. And it was a wonderful experience. However on the other times we’ve been through and had to “slum it”, their process has been a master of efficiency. All we saved witH FT was not having to go up the escalator to join a fast moving queue….
Yep boarding pass must state “fast track” in PMI otherwise it won’t work – never has for me when silver or gold unless in business. All PMI lounges are Aena operated – you can access all but offering is the same (some have views, others don’t). For U.K. A gate departures it makes sense to clear passport control first as queues can be bad at times. As an aside, for anyone based in Spain, one perk of the Platinum Amex here is fast track at any Aena airport in Spain – you just enter a few details and get a QR code to scan after you’ve scanned your boarding pass.
Must be common in all outstations, as also the same at Porto airport. We’re both silver and it never shows fast track, only on the rare times we fly BA CE.

But this does not apply to UK issued platinum cards? Amex Platinum sometimes gives access to fast track in foreign airports. I got fast track in Rome and Stockholm in the past…
I doubt a U.K. amex Platinum would work but you could always try. In the U.K. App Store there is an app called Amex Experiences – within that after selecting Platinum, there is a link to a form called “Solicita tu acceso Fast Track y Fast Lane”. After entering some basic details you get a SMS with a link to a pdf with QR code.

I tried it with my UK issued Platinum card but i got an erro stating it is only for cards issued in Spain.
You are required to enter the first 4 digits of the Spain issued Platinum Card.
Also need to enter cardholder name, nie or dni, last 5 digits on card and phone number
At PMI just queue on the right hand side next to the fast track lane, they often let some passengers through if the fast track lane is not busy.
This won’t be helpful to you but in 2019 I had no problem accessing FastTrack with a Y ticket to LGW. What’s changed since then is the creation of EuroFlyer which may have had something to do with it, as there have been threads about people being refused in lounges and fast track on EF tickets previously
EuroFlyer is simply a new company BA can use to pay less and provide different pension benefits to its pilots and crew.
The ground experience should be the same when it comes to lounges or fast track.
If somebody stopped you from entering a lounge because you were flying EF that was wrong!

In theory yes but in practice as it was a new legal entity, there might not have been a contractual obligation to provide it to EF passengers. Unintended consequences occur sometimes
