What is anyone’s recent experience of checking in at T5?
For golds, is it quicker to still use First Wing for check in and walk back to South Security, or should you use check in at the Club desks at the north end and use North security. I appreciate that every day is different but haven’t travelled since they closed First Wing security and wondered if anyone had a recommendation. Thank you.
It’s my understanding from reports on flyer talk that the F Wing will reopen at the end of this week.
I’ve also read that when checking in at the club desks they still attach the little sticker to your BP allowing you access to the temporary lane.
However which desks are best to use depends on where you actually arrive at T5.
Thank you. Usually arrive by taxi so can be dropped off anywhere. I was trying to avoid joining the ‘wrong’ queue, which is my usual practice.
Good to know the First Wing should reopen soon.
We used T5 North fast track security early this morning and it took forever. Would have been better to go through the ordinary lines. We were told if your bag needs checking it was likely to take 20 minutes. Whether that was true or not I don’t know. But nothing moved along the belts for a long time.
Another DP for T5 North fast-track security on Saturday afternoon – it was busy, I’d head for South!
