Finnair – BKK to HEL to LHR

Hello,

I’ve booked a British Airways multi partner award to ticket for travel in April 2022

DUB-DOH-CMB-KUL-SIN-BKK-HEL-LHR

The Bangkok to Helsinki to London segment is with Finnair. I can see that they have had to cancel a number of their routes as they fly via Russian airspace, but at the moment the Bangkok flights are OK (they are going via Middle East which is significantly increasing travel time)

It’s likely that I’ll miss the last connecting flight from HEL to LHR due to increased travel time. Is there any benefit of being pro-active and booking accommodation, or best to wait for airport staff to do so?

If this segment gets cancelled, will British Airways automatically rebook/offer alternative flights in same class?

I’m due to make the last bit of that journey in just under a fortnight. Just tweeted Finnair and I’ll let you know what happens, if I forget feel free to keep nudging.
