Hi everyone and merry Christmas to you all 🙂
Me and my better half are flying first class for the first time tomorrow from LHR with BA on the A380. We are really looking forward to it and I’m just wondering if anyone more experienced has any tips etc that would maximize our time in the Concord lounge and on board the big bird.
Thank you
To maximise your time in the Concord Room I would recommend you arrive at least 3 hours before your flight. Enjoy a drink at the bar, a sit-down meal and then some time lounging in front of one of the faux fireplaces.
On board, don’t hesitate to ask the crew for anything you need. You can dine on demand, therefore mention your preferred time when they go around asking for your meal choices. Make sure you get pyjamas and request slippers. You haven’t told us if it’s a day flight or a redeye. Nonetheless, you should enjoy the made up flat bed. The crew can prepare it for you.
The A380 first seat has a jump seat that can be used for ‘buddy dining’, where you are sat facing each other on the same table. Personally I think this is a fantastically civilised way to dine on a plane (compared to sitting side by side in different closed off seats watching a movie and ignoring each other). BA are phasing out this capability in their newer First seats so I’d make the most of it.
