Can anyone help ?
My flight to CDG at 07.10 tomorrow has been just been cancelled they have rebooked me for a later flight at 20.25 which means I have lost a complete day , has anyone experienced this with BA and what can I do .
Also can I claim compensation via BA or my travel insurance via AMEX card ? a
Thanks

You should look in MMB to see if maybe any better options are available but, if not, you need to call BA (albeit at this hour you will need to call an overseas office) to see if they can offer a better rebooking. You are potentially eligible for £220 compensation unless BA can claim ‘extraordinary circumstances’. There is no compensation as such for the missed day – the statutory £220 is a liquidated damages sum to cover all eventualities which in your case is really too little, but often it’s a lot relative to the inconvenience. Insurance won’t cover any more unless you incur some actual costs to reclaim. In theory, if BA won’t offer a suitable rebooking, you can book on another airline and reclaim the cost, but they probably won’t make that easy, although they will refund you without a fuss.
Looking at Google flughts there is only one earlier BA flight for sale from LHR to CDG tomorrow which is the 6:05pm flight which I’m guessing doesn’t help much. BA flight status shows several other BA flights other than yours operating but they are not on sale which suggests they are full.
There are several Air France flights still on sale so I would phone BA and if BA can’t accomodate you on an earlier BA flight request that they re-route you onto one of the air france flights. It would help if you know which one suits you best.
I’d tell them you still need to travel at the same time and ask them to provide a Eurostar ticket. Whatever they say take names and serial numbers then get yourelf with haste onto Eurostar and claim back.
Good chance depending on day of the week Easyjet is flying fron LGW otherwise do a quick check if Air France is flying from Terminal 2 and ask BA for that
According to the FlyerTalk thread on cancellations and delays your flight was cancelled due to lack of crew and is eligible for compensation.
Did you manage to get hold of BA and get a better / earlier flight or reroute via Eurostar?
