Forums Other Flight changes and cancellations help Flight cancelled:- Unable to rebook via MMB?

  • 11 posts

(Apologies for raising this again, but I previously posted this question in the wrong forum)
I have a BA Holiday (flight and car) booked from Newcastle to Denver.
We were due to depart on Thursday 12 May from NCL at 9.15 and LHR to DEN at 14.50
Last night (27th) at 23.26 we got an e-mail cancelling the 9.15 NCL to LHR flight.
I have checked Manage my Booking (MMB).
    It says –
“We’re sorry that your flight to London has been cancelled”
“You can find a different flight”
I was going to book the 06.00 NCL to LHR instead.
Unfortunately I cannot see any link on the page to do the booking or any other way to rebook.
I was wondering if I am missing something straightforward to rebook,or whether it is because it is a BA Holiday booking.
I have tried phoning half a dozen times, but as you can imagine that has been a fruitless task.
I am only a Blue in the Executive Club,so no designated help line.
Any advice from the seasoned travellers on this forum would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

Take a look at other flights as though you were a new booker and work out what other flights are still there that would work for you. Try if you can to still land and depart in Denver on the same day as you’re a BA Holidays booking and if nights chsnge this can get messy (and as it’s a Holiday open up a wider chance the holiday can be cancelled on you or get otherwise messy – this is more likely to be a risk if hotel nights change)

When you kmow what you want or could accept call BA Holidays. Number is on your confirmation. As you’re booked with BA Holidays anything needed has to be done via them.

I don’t remember ever having the option on BA Holidays booking to rebook disrupted flights via MMB. I always had to call BA Holidays number (or email for ex-EU). Call the BAH line when they open and you should get through. Have the flights you wish to take ready for them.

Thank you Lady London for your helpful advice.
You are quite correct in assuming that we want to get to Denver on the 12th,because with car hire and hotel reservations any changes will be ,as you say, “messy”
All I really need to do is get the 6am from NCL to LHR and all will be well.
(I am assuming that the LHR to Denver flight at 14.50 is still going ahead!!)
I thought that doing a flight change to the 06.00 would be straightforward – how wrong I was!
Thank you for clarifying that everything needs to be done via BA Holidays, that is very helpful.
I have been trying the 0344-493-0787 telephone number.
(My original BA Holidays booking was made via the Indian call centre and doesn’t show a UK phone number)
Is there a better number to contact BA Holidays than 0344- 493-0787?
Thanks for your help and apologies for the “novice” questions.

    Jacob and Lady London.
Thank you for your help and confirming I need to contact BA Holidays.
I have been trying 0344-493-0787 and 0344-493-0123 today without success.
Just hoping I can get a reply before our departure date of 12th May!!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction and I will continue to persevere on the phone.

I just wanted to thank you for your help and advice.
As many people have advise,I rang BAH at 07.58 yesterday morning.
Got a very helpful agent in Newcastle and all sorted and rebooked in 15 minutes.
    Thanks.
