Sorry don’t travel often so might be a silly question
Do you still have to submit covid documents on BA before they allow you to check in ?
Also I have esta which I used for Las Vegas last year , do I have to change anything for this trip to Miami
Help appreciated
You have to complete the attestation form with your vaccination proof, either via ba.com or direct on the US website, but that’s it. BA doesn’t seem to check anything any more. It’s always best to have printed copies of everything though, in case anyone suddenly decides to introduce spot checks or there’s an IT failure!
Your ESTA is valid for 2 years.
Yes they’ll send you a link to upload your NHS COVID pass. This will unlock online check in
Assuming you did your ESTA quite close to the trip then it’ll still be valid, you don’t need to update anything on it
You can check if your ESTA is still valid here. You only need your passport details
It only needs to be valid for your departure date not the whole trip.
But if you’ve replaced your passport since your last trip then you’ll need a new one (apply via the above link as well)
BTW it’s a good idea to take a screen shot of the authorization as (a) it has the expiry date on it and (b) despite it being electronic some airlines have asked to see it and it’s easier to show a screen shot than to try and log onto the site at a check in desk at 4am
