So I have booked a Hyatt in Japan using FHR to avail of the $100 credit, breakfast etc etc.
Thing is, the only way to pay for it was in advance. There was no pay at hotel option, even for a higher rate.
Now wondering if I will get Hyatt credits? Whilst the points will be missed, potentially the bigger kicker is the fact I’ll miss out on a brand credit, which would trigger a free night.
Hyatt have given me the conformation number and the rate is described as Fhr Amex 15 or something like that.
Any thoughts welcome.
Presumably it’s a refundable rate.
If so cancel and call up and book the regular “pay at hotel” rate – these are available by calling even if the website only shows “pay now”
No, it’s non-refundable but the deal made it good. Most times Amex offer pay now, pay at hotel or pay with points but this property (Fuji Speedway) only had pay now.
The breakfast and $100 credit make this a good deal and we want to stay there. The booking firm also asked for the Hyatt number.
It is what it is, but I always thought FHR was rack rate and worked like that for points.
