Slightly confused as to how I should make the booking, do you get free breakfast no matter what room and what rate you book? Given there is an option to book the room with breakfast for “HH members”.
Yes, you get free breakfast no matter what room you book. Go to MyWay Benefits in the app in My Account and choose breakfast as your benefit for each brand.
+1, ignore any rates which include breakfast (unless they’re actually cheaper), as you’ll get it anyway, apart from in the US where they’ve introduced a different option.

Just stayed a few nights at the Hilton Garden Inn, Austin and I called beforehand and was told the continental breakfast rate was $11.50 +tax.
My daily ‘check’ was manipulated so that the rate for diamond/gold showed $10 total each day inc tax so that the F&B credit covered the full cost. I thought it was a nice touch but I wouldn’t expect it at all properties in the US.
Didnt rob do an article where it was mentioned not all of the hilton brands offer breakfast with gold status?

They do offer it – except in the USA. There is a HFP article somewhere about the new daily credit system, which was supposed to be just for 2021 but now seems to be permanent!
That said, $15 is going to be a bit more use to me at the Hilton BOS than free breakfast which I won’t eat because our flight is at 7am!
