Free Night Awards top-up – when is this launching?

Is there an official date for the Free Night Awards / Certificates becoming flexible so you can top-up the value by another 15k points?
Have seen meta mention Jan 2nd in another Bonvoy thread but nothing else otherwise. Looking to use it for the early May bank holiday so the sooner the better really.

Would be helpful to have something to reference when I try the call centre

I think it will coincide with the launch of revenue-based redemptions, so I would guess around March.

However, there is going to be an announcement this week about the scrapping of ‘travel packages’ redemptions so we may learn more then.
