I’ve a GUF2 that I need to use before the end of March so booking something soon. My question is can I use this in a BA Holiday booking and score the double TPs? I’ve only ever used them for flight only before. If so can I add the car/hotel to the booking later to turn it into a “Holiday” or do I need to do this at time of flight booking.
Also not used one since they changed the rules, and as I understand I only need availability in the “I” bucket. When I try and redeem via BA website it gives me very little availability for my chosen route, but when I look at ExpertFlyer there are at least 9 available in I. I presume I need to call to book or am I making a mistake?
You cannot make a flight only booking and then add a car / hotel to it and create a holiday out of it to benefit from the double TP offer. Everything must be booked as part of the same transaction.
I really don’t know if you can apply a GUF2 to a BA hols booking though.
Re trying to redeem on the BA website – it looks to me as if the system is still trying to apply the ‘old’ rules where there had to be reward availability in the upgraded cabin, even though this is no longer the case. Another example of Creating unnecessary traffic to the call centre…….
