Had Hilton BCC – been trying to switch.

Hi all –

I had a Barclaycard Hilton CC for a couple years, when I saw that Barclaycard started Avios CC’s – I cancelled my Hilton (about 2months back). I’ve been trying to apply for a Barclaycard Avios CC via the app and via their helpline, but not getting any luck. Any guidance – the welcome offer avios would be nice, but even if I couldn’t get the welcome offer, still keen to get the card.

Barclays requires a gap of six months from closure of one card before considering any new applications for any card. They do sometimes offer the ability to switch cards within the app, but now you have cancelled you will likely have to wait a further four months. At that point you should also be eligible for the Avios SUB.
