Hello!
I recently used my companion voucher to book business class flights to Las Vegas online. I only booked one way as I only had enough avios to do this and I didn’t want to miss out on the flights. I will be booking the return from another US airport soon, I was planning on ringing BA to do this but now I’m worried they will:
1. Not include the companion voucher for the return flight
2. Charge the taxes/fees for the return as a one way flight rather than an open jaw return
Does anyone have any experience with this? I recently did something similar when booking a companion business class return to The Maldives. I booked the outward journey online and rang up later to book the return on the phone, this was all fine and they refunded the excess taxes/fees. Do you think it will be the same for these flights or different as it is returning from a different airport?
Thanks so much
You’ll be fine. People do this all the time. Companions voucher will be applied and the fees will be calculated based on an open jaw not two one ways. And no fee for calling as you can’t book open jaws online using the companion voucher.
