Got an email yesterday advertising a “just launched” Fast Track Arrivals service. £25-35 per person depending on if peak or off-peak periods (varies between terminals).
Seems quite steep pricing especially for families with small kids who would probably be the most likely to consider due to inability to use egates. Having arrived into T3 at 8PM just after an Emirates A380 on a delayed short haul BA flight with 2 <3yr old kids last week I would have considered paying for wife & kids while I used egates but it appears you have to purchase the day prior at latest.
I do think there should be a family lane for UK citizens/visa holders as it’s frustrating queuing for 90 minutes behind a lot of people who take ages to process when it’s about 1 minute at desk to scan 4 UK passports. Now Heathrow are monetising my misery I think there is zero chance of this happening though.
