Forums Other Destination advice Heathrow parking

Staying near Windsor next month, travelling by car, then will be travelling into central London for a couple of days and prefer to avoid the hassle of parking. Would parking at Heathrow be a sensible option?

It would be a sensible enough option, but unless we know the full picture, it’s difficult to say.

What else could you do with your car, how many are travelling, where do you need to get to in central London and so on.

I’d probably favour using a suburban train to get in. Inevitably the station will have a car park.

Having driven into London a handful of times I find no reason to recommend that, mind!

Why pay the expensive LHR parking fees when you have other options? Use Just park to find something close to a tube station (preferably Elizabeth line). You can read the reviews to find out if that space is good for your requirements.

You could use Egham station and then train into Waterloo (from memory about 35mins) – a couple of open air public car parks nearby that I’ve used with no problens. Or if you prefer more security/leaving car for longer there’s an underground car park below Waitrose/Travelodge that’s a five minute walk from the station.

    Great options, thanks.
