Heathrow Terminal 5 arrivals

I will be arriving into Terminal 5 around dinner time. I will be checking into the Sofitel for the night but was wondering if I am able to get to the Terminal 5 restaurants straight after arrival or is it just after security for departures. I do like a Wagamama lol…

Only The Globe landside in the terminal can be accessed from arrivals

There is an Indian restaurant landside on the departures level as well. Csnt remember what it’s called but someone mentioned it on here.

The restaurant offerings landside at T5 is limited. We had an early morning BA flight last year and stayed at the sofitel the night before. After walking round the check in area with 2 grumpy young ones we capitulated and went back to the hotel restaurant for dinner. Food was fine but priced appropriately for a captive audience!

There’s an M & S Food outlet just before you get to the Sofitel if you prefer to stock up on sandwiches/wraps/snacks/mini bottles of wine and have a picnic in your room!

Thanks guys, flight delayed a bit and a real long wait for bags so didn’t get checked in until 8pm and I can’t eat that late, glad we filled up at the lounge before boarding 😂
