long time read of blog first time here so please be gentle .
BA cancelled our Madrid -lhr flight last night , I tried to use mob to see about rebooking but app kept crashing/ not loading, also no emails from BA at that time.
Gate agent was more concerned in sorting business class passengers then relaying info to everyone else.
Were finally told to look for alternative flights, hotel and food would be provided.
Short version, I rebooked flights on Iberia for 08:05 at a cost of 760 euros however at the hotel finally mmb worked and I saw that BA had offered either refund of booked on late morning Iberia .
Can I claim the cost of fights I paid for ?
secondly had luggage was checked through to London at the request of check in staff , can I also claim for a clean top and underwear ?
many thanks in advance
Don’t accept a refund from BA
Fill in the form here with your hotel, food, rerouting receipts. officially the regs do not allow for clothing etc but can give it a go!

Do you know why it was cancelled? https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/british-airways-british-airways-club/2181921-faq-reason-flight-delay-cancellation-2025-edition-87.html the info should appear here in a day or two if not inc if it’s expected to be eligable for EU261 compensation
