Hi, I’m trying to reserve a car in Nice France for next August. When I try without logging in, I am only offered two premium options. When I log in (so Amex Platinum code) I get a message that there are no cars. This is at both the airport and train station locations. Obviously this can’t be correct – do Hertz not load summer ‘25 availability until nearer the time? Many thanks!

It is relatively late to be booking for the super peak French holiday period from around Bastille day until a week or so after Assumption Day. It is quite possible that they are sold out of cheaper cars and/or don’t want to offer them on any discounted rates.

does it need to be Hertz? I booked a full size for 9 days in last 2 weeks of august last year for £92 with Enterprise/National at Nice airport. I was pretty lucky I know with the price but worth checking out. I booked it the previous December
