Hertz – Pay at location

Hi,

I tried to find out but can’t see any confirmation.
Is any cancellation or no-show fee charged if you book a rental with Hertz (Pay at location) but then don’t show up or if you are not happy with the car and not decide to not pick up the car?

Yes.
On the page after selecting your car, under Rental Terms, Qualifications and Requirements there is a subsection Amendments, Cancellations & No Shows.

In the example I checked, pertinent info for pay-later reservations is:

“Should you fail to pick up the vehicle within 1 hour from the pick-up time and date, or in the case of airport rentals, within 2 hours of the flight arrival time if a flight number has been provided to Hertz, Hertz reserves the right to charge a No Show Fee.
This fee will be EUR 114.00, GBP 114.00 or the equivalent in the destination currency, including tax, as appropriate at station closing time or Midnight at 24hr locations on the reserved pick up date. The fee will be to compensate Hertz for loss of revenue and costs incurred in reserving and preparing a vehicle.”

Depends on the location / and the CDP used – inside the US not often ; rest of the world absolutely
