Apparently, there is a ‘pre-pack’ deal to change it to another group but it will no longer be with Hilton.
In these situations, do points bookings continue to be ‘honored’?
I think what’s happened in the past is that they honour cash bookings but cancel points ones. You could always appeal to the hotel directly, but I don’t know if they actually get anything for points bookings once they’re no longer in a particular loyalty scheme.

Correct. Zero chance of a points booking sticking. Cash bookigs are trickier because of the insolvency – if you pre-paid you may have lost your money. If you didn’t prepay your booking should be fine but, of course, you may want to switch now no Hilton points / benefits.
Hope they do better. Was there for mid term holidays and they couldnt cope. Refused some of the benefits claiming Garden Inn is exempt. Shame as the hotel is in a nice location for families that visit zip world.
Supposedly sold in a pre pack deal to Interesting Hotels which is interesting as it’s very different to the groups other hotels.
First i360 then this, our tax money at work!

HGI is exempt from a lot of benefits – I was caught out at HGI Heathrow T2 when it opened. It’s basically a brand for hotels that want to save on elite goodies.
My understanding is that Interesting Hotels are taking over the property, but not necessarily changing the branding of the hotel to begin with. They’ll setup a subsidiary for the property and run it from there.
I suspect it will remain a HGI for a while at least, especially as it remains on the Hilton website as “Coming Soon” for booking.
Has left Hilton and rebranded as “IXORA”

I was hoping that’s just the operating company’s name, but a very strange name to brand a hotel. Shame they couldn’t work with any of the major chains.
