Thinking of getting the Hilton Plus card with the gold status, can anyone confirm how many days I would need to get platinum status, is it just 20 days or the full 60 days.

Its Hilton “Diamond”, and you don’t get any credits for having Gold via a credit/debit card, you still need to do the full nights/stays/points to achieve Diamond.
You may be confusing Hilton Gold with Marriott Gold, which if you have the Marriott Bonvoy Amex DOES give you 15 nights credit towards Marriott status

Oddly the new German credit card DOES offer an easy route to Diamond.
@Rob, I think you meant to say that the German Hilton card offers an INSANELY easy route to diamond. Spend €20k a year, you need 20 nights; €30k a year, you need 10 nights. You guessed it right, spend €40k, you’ll be diamond with no night requirements IIRC. It still blows my mind how easy it is.
Thank you all for the clarification- really hoped it was like the Marriott card. I have a long 25 day stay soon as this would have been an ideal way to get to platinum. Would have gone for the Marriott card but there hotel is too far from where I need to stay.
