Hi everyone,
I have had a consistent £10k reach for the last couple of years so chose to have the BAPP card for that very reason, however, my renewal was coming up on 1st of September and I do not foresee spending at nearly the same level next year due to change in circumstances, so having hit my £10k spend in July I decided to downgrade yesterday to avoid being charged £250 in a few days time. The change has been processed by the agent and everything went smoothly (from my perspective). However, I just noticed that my account now says I am £378 away from hitting £12k to get my voucher. Is this new and does this mean I will lose my BAPP voucher which I already got on the 23rd of July? As you can see I spent £11.6k during the qualifying year so far, so it wasn’t the case of downgrading for the sake of the voucher, and if it is a technical glitch what do you suggest I do? I don’t want to lose the BAPP voucher as it does have some real genuine benefits over the regular voucher.
Thanks
Nope once a voucher is issued, it can’t be clawed back so nothing to worry about. The counter will continue to guide you towards a £12k spend – it’s just an IT glitch
I also had this question as planning to downgrade just before my anniversary next month.
Furhter to the original question though, will the companion voucher I already earned with BAPP retain all of the extra benefits that come with it vs the free card – eg extra club world seats etc. I dont want to be stuck with Economy only if I downgrade?

The voucher retains all the benefits based on what card you held when it was transferred to you BA account. Once it’s in there nothing will change it, whether that’s downgrading or cancelling your card.
