Have been collecting Amex points for a while and clueless on how to maximise value. Would love to use for our honeymoon in Dec 2025, perhaps fly business class one way at least.
How do folks suggest we maximise value?

First step would be to investigate the ins and outs of how the points can be used; what airlines, where you can fly, the costs, etc.
There’s a really good points-based frequent flyer website that explains all this in its numerous reference articles, but its name escapes me right now.
Go somewhere you and your beloved to go to not somewhere because of some perception of “best value”
It’s no good if the “best value” use of your avios isn’t somewhere you want to visit!
