Forums Other London life Hotel suggestions please!

    Hello!

I have a journey I need to make where I am going to get to London slightly too late for the last train to Heathrow.

So, I’m looking for a hotel next to either Hayes & Harlington or Slough, or possibly Paddington so I can get a few hours sleep before heading to Heathrow at 5am…

However the stay city at Hayes seems to be closed, as is the holiday inn express at slough and the Paddington options like Hilton and premier inn are nearly £200 for a night which I don’t want to spend on 4 hours sleep… don’t really to be walking too far from the station…

    Any other suggestions?

If you’re already looking at Hayes & Harlington it’s very easy to get a night bus to Heathrow. Or dare I say it an Uber.

There is also a Premier Inn within about 500m of Hayes & Harlington.

Probably the way to go – was just thinking I could crash by the station then get an uber to the terminal the next morning to avoid extra Ubers or hoppa busses…

There is also a Premier Inn within about 500m of Hayes & Harlington.

Stayed there many times, £50pn on a Friday and Saturday, which are the dearest nights to stay, Bargain prices, I must admit there’s not much around there, within walking distance, it’s spitting distance of the M4, so close enough.

    Thanks

Is it a relatively easy walk from Hayes? Or are there lots of crossings to navigate etc?

    Thanks

It’s 500m. Never done it myself. If you are worried about it take a look on Google Street view and do a dummy run from your armchair.

It’s a straight walk from Hayes, round the bend at the fire station, and it’s on the left.

Just a thought but if you are coming from Cornwall, how about getting off in Reading and staying in Malmaison?

You can then jump on the railair coach the next day. It would be a 30 minute earlier alarm call but you’d be in bed an hour and a bit earlier the night before.

If you’re not coming from Cornwall then please ignore!
