I have cancelled 3 reward flights in the last month or two and looking at my Avios transactions (and spouses) I have been credited with the full amount but with no adjustment to my fellow HHA members (who originally “contributed” to the redemption). Is this as expected?
It looks like I have inadvertently boosted my own balance at the expense of my family (though don’t feel sorry for my adult children who have all benefited from my collecting).
Last year I cancelled a Qatar reward flight booked via BA. On that case the exact contribution I received from my spouse’s account when booking was return to their account upon cancellation.

Yes this has happened to me every time I’ve cancelled an avoid flight recently
