2nd part of my unsatisfactory phone call
The Virgin website claims that thos with silver status can set up Household accounts and gift their upgrade vouchers but the operator claimed that houshold accounts were suspended during COVID. But couldnt tell me when or point me at a web page or explain why the current webpage (which was clearly updated in April still shows Household accounts as a perk of silver status.
She will get back to me but has anyone with silver status got an active household account ?
Creation of HHAs on VS is currently suspended whilst they make the process to apply simpler. You might as well consider it a non-benefit at the moment. In reality, though, HHAs were never much of an advantage as VS allowed agents to pool points from multiple FC holders’ balances, so long as there was never one more than person paying per sector.
