How do I transfer Avios points from Vueling to Aer Lingus?

Aer Lingus told me I first have to move them to British Airways and then onto Aer Lingus.
The British Airways Combine my Avios website is broken and I just get a message saying “Combine my Avios is not available at the moment. Please try again later”.
I contacted British Airways who told me it can only be done on the Vueling website.
The Vueling website chatbot directed me to avios.com website which has no login option.
The avios.com website says “Please visit combine my Avios for British Airways Executive Club members” which is broken.

I’m just getting sent around in circles by them all.

    Can anyone help?

    You don’t.

Vueling and Aer Lingus accounts are effectively same thing (all start 3081xxxxxxxxx). The log in details you use for one should work on the other.

Even if you use ‘Combine My Avios’, there isn’t a separate Lingus / Vueling option – just ‘Avios Partners’, because its the same numbering system for both.

You do it via BA when combine my avíos works; if it doesn’t and you have an Iberia account, try using the Iberia combine my avíos.

You just send from one avíos partner to BA or IB, then send back out to the other avíos partner.

All simple and straightforward when combine my avíos works.

My Vueling login details don’t work on Aer Lingus. And vice versa

They won’t – Rob seems to think this but I’ve never understood why.

Yep, and months and months and months later, ‘Combine My Avios’ still doesn’t work.

As I’ve commented elsewhere, ringing Aerclub on either their Irish or British numbers gets you through to very helpful staff quite quickly who were able to shift my Avios on the spot.
