Long story short, my inbound return journey is not registering within my executive club account. Flying every week, I’m missing out on a lot of TPs.
I literally can’t get a human on the phone: dead end on phone line extensions, customer complaints don’t actually respond, Twitter is an automated bot and the missing TP BA website service errors every time – even at the airport customer services can’t help?I just want to speak to someone. Any ideas?!
Thankyou. What do you mean by “is not registering within my exec club account”?
The more info you give the better advice you get.
Who did you book with? What is the route?
You may not actuality have to speak to anyone at all,
I’m kind of in the same boat. Flights on BA, Qatar and Malaysia all didn’t credit tier points despite registering in my BA app.
Tried to use the online missing tier points tool but it kept throwing up errors. first needed to call more than 10 times before I got through. Then was informed it was because my booking done through my employer included my middle name and my BA executive account didn’t have my middle name. Whatever…I’ll play along with the BA bureaucracy. Sent them a photo of my passport to add my middle name which took 3 days.
Called back and when I finally got somebody they couldn’t find evidence I’d boarded the planes so asked me for my boarding passes. Lol but ok nice try BA. Emailed my boarding passes and was told because two of the three flights were on one world carriers BA would need to request they add the tier points. Again, whatever. The guy made a big song and dance about how it will take up to 8 weeks for other one world carriers to credit the tier points. When i pointed out the first flight was on a big plane with British airways painted on the side of it he said they would need to investigate and he’d open a case.
Three days later got two separate emails; one for the Qatar leg and one for the Malaysia leg. Still nothing from the actual BA leg. All legs were in business.
BA are a joke. Fortunately I’ve permanently left the U.K. and now call Asia home once again. I’ve got just over 500k avios I’ll use on Qatar and I’ve just opened a bank account with a krisflyer card.
So happy to get out of the chaos the Tory government has created. Been through MNL, CEB, TAC, DOH, CRK, KUL, HKT, BUF, LHR, LGW and EWR in the last two months. Want to know the only airports which were chaos? Yes you guessed it LHR & LGW.
Brexiters can have the U.K. I’m taking my tax dollars elsewhere.
Ok thanks for coming back.
– When I say it’s not registering, my Exec club account shows the outbound flight and the date, there’s just not record whatsoever of the return flight, so I’m getting half the tier points on every journey. To be clear, this is in the ‘my account’ section where you can see your activity
– the journey is booked through my work’s travel company (FCM travel solutions). I’ve spoken to them on the phone who have assured me that it’s nothing they can do as my exec number is being applied to the booking. I always get a standard BA booking code, as well as a BA ticket number.
– if I go in to ‘manage my booking’, it clearly shows the total TPS that I ‘should’ get, I just get half once they are applied.
– for clarity, this is a weekly trip to Copenhagen, so it should be 20 TPs return based on my ticket type, but I’m also travelling an extra trip now and then to other Euro destinations. This really is 1st world problems, I get that. It just will make a massive difference to my trip/timings once I can get in to Group 3 or above – this is a new job so I’m getting used to being a frequent flyer.
Thanks for your advice. So the flight appears normally in the bookings section but you get zero TPs and avios for the return leg once you’ve flown it?
In the your account transactions section on the app/website what shows there?
Is the flights listed there at all with a description something like “no points awarded” or “ineligible flight” ? If so what does it say when you click on that for more details?
There should be a line that says “Class : Euro traveller” followed by a letter. What letter shows there? If there is any extra text what does it say?
It’s possible you’re on a fare class where TPs aren’t awarded as part of that corporate contract.

Hi Chris – yep, that’s it, just nothing registers once I’ve completed my trip. Nothing shows up in the account transactions section, so no ineligible flight details or any similar wording.
In terms of Class – it’s economy L (wish I could get business but don’t think I could get away with it as we’re not a huge company!).The company who we book travel solutions did say that I should get points on the return.
Thanks for your help.Unless you want to add your BAEC number because you have status and want to choose a seat, I would not bother with the hassle. Check they have your number at the airport checkin/bag drop, and get a paper boarding pass as proof of travel in case you need to claim after the flight. That retrospective claim for BA flights is all online, but you can always go old school and send them a copy of the boarding pass (are faxes still a thing?)
Edit: Just missed your last post – file a re-credit claim with BA online. But if it was not eligible for some reason then I guess you really are SOOL.

If you’re registered on FT there is a helper on there you could contact.
That’s the problem with the online retrospective claim – it’s just errors when I use my ticket number which is making me go red in the face with frustration.
The biggest thing I want Group3 or above for is priority boarding – on four of my last trips I’ve been group 9 (as I’m not frequently flying home supposedly…), meaning I’ve had to check my cabin bag in once, adding absolutely AGES on the other side in return to LHR.
The convenience of boarding hassle free and getting my bag on (knowing I can blast home to see my family on return) is something I don’t want to wait 18 weeks for!@Louise K – FT being Financial Times? Please let me know more!

Use the complaint form via BA/complaints Explain the problem listing flight details. Tick the box documents to be uploaded later. Then when you get an 8 digit reference number upload a scanned copy of the boarding pass together with the original e-ticket / email if you have it. Try using the Royal Jordanian website to get an emailed copy of your booking if you don’t have it already.
I rang at 6.00am, selected 3 and then 3 again and got through in about 45 minutes.

When is this from? A call to BA followed by options 3 and 3 just takes you to a message saying they are busy at the moment and then they hang up.
