I am wondering if that is possible to select seat on Qatar airway by using the Royal Jordanian status?
Tried managed booking via FF/BA but no luck. Any tips would be helpful.

Interestingly, I booked a reward flight for myself & a plus 1, I am Oneworld Sapphire with BA but the booking number reverted to my QR FF Number after completion.
I did ask for it to be changed on the Live Chat but still showing as QR on the booking, although it is also showing my Avios too.
They did inform me that my travelling partner can’t have their BA FF added online as they are only Oneworld Ruby currently.
Having kinda same issue, added RJ number via Finnair. BA still doesn’t show can reserve seat for free before 1 week.

Does it not also effect lounge access?
I was under the impression Award/U Fare seats along with P for Qatar don’t qualify for lounge access?
Both times were economy bookings and I got into the relevant lounge by showing my BA membership status in the app.
