Ive recently had a claim defined as under 1500km when I thought it was over that. Is there an agreed calculator to use?

Article 7.4 of the EC261 text states:”The distances given in paragraphs 1 and 2 shall be measured by the great circle route method.”
Thank you. Based on that the distance was 1644 and should have received a higher compensation amount. Any idea if I should query the email saying under 1500 or wait for the comp to land then query ?
Query it now.
Based on how these things seem to be handled by remote teams with no chance to reach them it probably won’t get to them. But I’d make a point of correcting them in writing now so as to get it on record that you did. Then fight them referring to having corrected them promptly if they come up with inadequate compo later.
btw what was the route and what airline – there are a couple of odd things on particular routes.
I’m just wondering if BA have inadvertently used miles instead of km!
Thank you. The error has been acknowledged. Lets see what arrives in my account!
