How to view seat availability on an Emirates flight before booking?

Hi all,

I’m wondering if there’s a way to see what seats are available on an Emirates flight before booking? I’m currently booked to fly WAW-DXB on their 777. I booked an economy flex ticket with cash. I can see from the seat selection map that economy is looking very busy, so now I’m considering upgrading to business which I can do for 50k Skyward miles. I’d like to be able to see which seats are available in the business class cabin before upgrading. The 777 has the dreaded 2-3-2 layout, I don’t want to end up in a middle seat. I’d rather keep the points and stay in economy!

I tried making a booking for a business class ticket on the flight, but it takes me through to the payment page without giving me an option to select a seat.

Also, another question..
Does anyone know if you can upgrade twice? So if I upgrade to business, can I then upgrade again to First? Or do Emirates only allow 1 level of upgrade from the original ticket booked?

Hi thanks for the quick reply. I’ve actually just tried Emirates live chat on the website and they were helpful. Told me which seats were available in business. So I’ve upgraded.

I also now know the answer to the 2nd question I asked. You can’t upgrade twice with Skywards Miles. So just economy to business, or business to first.
