Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club IB avios … cannot see £ cost

Hello, I am haven’t the exact same problem another member had a few days ago.

I am trying to book a LHR-MAD eco flight with Iberia. Their website shows 6,500 Avios but I cannot see the £ component as I don’t have enough Avios with them (I am transferring some from Amex and it will take a couple of days).

The flight costs 7,500 and £35 on BA and I don’t know if that is better value.

Could wait a few days but I am afraid all reward sears may go. (It needs to be a specific flight)

Is somebody aware of the usual cost for these avios seats so I can make a decision asap (basically is it worth waiting for the Amex rewards points or should I go ahead and book it with BA).

    Thank you!

Transfer the avios to Iberia and recheck. Its instant through the combine my avios feature on ba.com.

Or just book on Ba.com , they are so much easier to deal with than IB of course.

I cannot do this as I had 0 Avios with Iberia. So needed to send some Amex rewards to wake up the account. I will then be able to do what you mention. Thanks

    £30.12

Iberia economy flights are usually better value via iberia.com if you find a “blue class” flight

Named reward points eventually made it to IB. Price in avios and £ was identical in both IB and BA websites (including the current Avios offer Iberia has for economy flights).
