    Just seen this , Iberia have increased the number of Avois required for reward flights , some flights increased by 20%.

    That’s a shame. Probably still good value to be had but that was sneaky.

    No longer publishing an award chart ? That is never, ever going to be a good sign.

    It kinda feels all over the place like loyalty is now taken for granted. Like “we’ll reduce all earnng ratios to nano-rates and increase spending ratios to mega-rates. Just to underline our lack of commitment to providing rewards, we’ll also cease publishing of reward charts.” Why oh why, please tell me why the sheeple are still hanging in there ?

    Case in point : BA / Amex still haven’t said what tier points can be earned under an arrangement they’ve said is continuing but they’ve failed to say how many tier points to reward what spend. The only thing that’s continuing, apparently, is cardholders still spending their money in the dark. So earnings continue on only 1 side – theirs. Why?

    With more devaluations, it’s getting easier to select flights – whatever is the cheapest and/or most convenient. No more spreadsheets trying to plot the accrual of points to achieve status. Quite liberating.
