Iberia Companion Voucher Booking

I booked a trip a few months ago for this coming April as follows:

LHR-MAD on BA
MAD-SJO on Iberia
(+returns)

At that time I was only able to use a (soon to expire) Companion Voucher on BA, so did so and booked the BA and Iberia flights separately to avoid UK APD. They were all booked on ba.com.

Now we’re able to use Companion Vouchers on Iberia obviously I’m keen to use that voucher for this trip instead, saving me ~85k Avios. Is there any way to do it without risking cancelling and losing my seats plus incurring cancellation charges?

What did you use the companion voucher on, LHR-MAD?
Was it a new style voucher as I think only these can be used on airlines other than BA?
You could try calling and hoping you get an agent who might be willing to make the changes but it’s likely they’ll say you have to cancel and rebook, with no guarantee of the seats becoming available again.
If more IB seats are currently showing, you could cancel the current booking for £35 pp and rebook MAD-SJO. You need to keep the 2 legs separate to avoid extra charges.
