Has anyone received the IHG Creatoon 4x bonus pts offer for cardholders being closed after 27/06 ?
Their email said it was due to start on the following dsy but I’ve had no sign up email so far.

I was actually asking if anyone had received the sign up email yet Andrew.
I got the email today to register but when I click the link it takes me to a form asking for membership number and a promo code.
But there was no promo code in the email?Same experience as caland – email received, but the offer could not be registered due to no promo code.

I’ve not had the email but just wondered if anyone has successfully cancelled their card and received the pro rata refund of their account fee yet? I held off cancelling until today as was wary they might use cancelling before the IHG relationship ended as an excuse not to refund.
The registration link appears to have been fixed now.
Mine says I’ll get Plat till Dec 2024 by dint of this. But i already have Diamond till Dec 2024 so am not touching this offer for fear of a very IHG IT mix up

Since you get 10 points per $ as a baseline anyway, giving an extra 4 (or 2 for basic card holders) per $ is frankly just insulting.
It’s really weird. I assume they mean it’s now 14 points per USD. But that isn’t what they said.

They said all along that it was 2 or 4 per dollar, this is from the email in May:
“The amount of points a cardholder is eligible to earn is based on credit card-type. IHG One Rewards Credit Cardholders in the UK can earn 2 points per $1 spent and IHG One Rewards Premium Cardholders in the UK can earn 4 points per $1 spent.”
Of course, they also said,
“UK IHG One Rewards Credit Card – 2X & 4X Bonus Points Promotion”
In these situations, it’s always best to assume the worst of the two will be the one that happens!
Just had my first stay since this went live, can confirm it’s 4 points per USD.

If the premium card still existed and you used it to pay, you would have earned 4×178 = 712 points from the transaction. Now you get to (are forced to) “double dip” by using another card to pay.
If you say it was 4400 exactly then 20% was 733 so a bit over. Obviously it is actually calculated on USD so several factors affect the exact number. But so far I have always received more points than the IHG card would have earned on the transaction, sometimes a lot more (possibly erroneously).
If someone had an expectation to earn 15,000 points on a £178 stay (not taking into account other promos), that was just wishful thinking IMO.
