Forums Hotel loyalty schemes IHG One Rewards InterContinental Ambassador – free weekend night entitlement

  • 3 posts

    Hi all,

I have just booked and am using my complimentary weekend night voucher for a Saturday – Monday stay.
Am I still entitled to the Guaranteed 4 pm check-out and one category room upgrade?

I emailed the hotel to ask for a later check-out, and they replied that the check-out time is 12:00 pm and late check-out is subject to availability. Also with no mention of a room upgrade.

Which hotel is it? Sometimes you have to gently remind them of the different benefits, though they can give you 10k points instead if they’re that way out!

You are but there is little point in emaiing in advance about them. They aren’t going to commit in advance.

The upgrade will usually be processed a couple of days before your stay date and show in your booking and the 4pm checkout once there.

Intercontinental Park lane London is the hotel.

Thank you for the advice and did not want to make a fuss if I am not entitled to the benefits.

That’s really odd because I’ve stayed there a few times and they are always spot on with the benefits, either in advance or at check-in, never had a problem with 4pm checkout – it’s a large property so they’re rarely desperate to get the room back. Probably one of the best Ambassador experiences, whether using the free night certificate or not.

As mentioned, it’ll probably all get sorted when you arrive.

You should see an upgrade by at least one category a few days before your stay, and you may get a further upgrade at check in. My most recent stay was booked via Emyr and we got upgraded from King Cosy to junior suite.
